Abstract:
The researchers of Hungarian dialects have created several large-scale databases. The usage of these repositories developed in various ways: some were published in print in full, nevertheless some exist only as manuscripts. The Székely Nyelvjárások Atlasza (The Atlas of Szekler Dialects) is somewhere in the middle of this scale. My paper presents the short history of the creation of the repository, the current status of its processing as well as the possibilities of its use in itself and in relation to other Hungarian dialect repositories.
