dc.description.abstract Abstract One of the most exciting field of manufacturing engineering is the miniaturization of components and systems. Up to now there have been existed somé widespread technologies for the manufacturing of miniature parts of devices (different etching methods, LIGA process), but these can only be applied in limited cases. The transplantation of conventional chip removal processes intő the micrometer scale dimensions shows a very promising alternative. Micromilling researches have been carried out to find the optimal process parameters for the machining of metallic materials with hard metal micro end mill. There are many results about the examination of the surface and the geometric quality of the micromachined structure. hu_HU
