Abstract:
Climatic changes due to climatic elements such as air temperature or precipitation, also exercise an influence on the hydrological processes. Changes in the water balance elements are thus linked to changes in climatic conditions. Experimental watersheds, established with the aim to analyze hydrological processes in detail, are thus also suitable for research connected with the climatic change. In this article we investigated the influence (via evaporation) of the vegetation present along the riverside of the shallow
watercourses on the daily level/quantity of water in the bed. The results support the conclusion that the hydrological processes in the areas with denser vegetation, although in many aspects similar to those in other areas, may be in some aspects signifcantly different.
